Synopsis

'Spirited' is a rendition of Charles Dickens's 1843 masterpiece A Christmas Carol starring Reynolds as Clint Briggs, an overzealous and manipulative media executive. Scrooge's tale isn't your standard one. Will Ferrel plays The Ghost of Christmas Present. The story is told from the point of view of the ghosts in Apple Films' rendition, with Scrooge being the ghost of Christmas present and the film's primary protagonist. The film offers a couple of dueling storylines that complement each other along the way. Unlike some Christmas Movies, Spirited also throws in a variety of twists and turns that viewers may be surprised by. This movie checks many boxes, from high-this to low-lows, to belly laughs, to tears. Spirited is poised to secure its spot in your list of best Christmas movies!

The Trailer:

Check out the trailer as you get a glimpse of the film's structure, where one lucky would each year is sought after for redemption. The Ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future seek to haunt the perpetrator until they succumb to the pressure and change into a better person, thus making the world a better place. The trailer also teases a few musical scores and some of the A-List acting staff. This fast-paced Christmas flick fueled by electric music, a knee-slapping comedy, and wholesome Christmas cheer is available to stream now!

Where To Watch:

If you didn't get to watch Spirited in a theater near you, fear not because it is now streaming exclusively on Apple TV+! Turn on your Christmas tree, grab some cocoa, and snuggle in because this over 2 hour Christmas story will have you laughing, crying, and feeling all festive.

Why We're Excited

During the holiday season, there is an avalanche of Christmas films, but none can match Spirited for budget and talent. It's hard to wade through the copied and pasted holiday films that inundated our screens this time; Apple is trying to change the narrative this year. With legendary actors, Oscar-winning composers, and world-renowned choreographers, Apple is coming out swinging.

Pairing 2 comedic legends, Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds have excited many of us here at NERDNCO and worldwide. With Will Ferrell finding lasting success in the previous Christmas movie will he live up to the hype again?

It is time for another ELF-level cult holiday classic to add to our list, don't you think?
